Our Quick gyro stabilizer MC2 X3 DC was installed on a Southport 28 centre console yacht by the team at Marina Yacht Services (MYS).

Boat overview:
This boat had a good amount of space directly in front of the centre console area – in the hatch. As such, no cutting was needed as our MC2 X3 DC gyro could fit in the space nicely.
As always, the base for mounting the gyro stabilizer had to be built. A square-shaped steel plate was fabricated & laminated onto the fibreglass hull. Once that’s done, our MC2 X3 DC gyro stabilizer was lowered into position by crane and mounted onto the base.
After this, all that’s left is to wire up the gyro stabilizer to the touch screen control panel.

The last step is the commissioning sea trial! It was conducted in the waters off Sentosa island. Video below.
We achieved a roll reduction of 94% and comfort improvement of 89%!
