We’re back here at Manila, SMX Convention Centre, for the Philippines Sea Expo 2018 boat show from the 5th-7th October 2018!
Yes, it’s barely 4 months after our first show – Philmarine Boat Show 2018 – which appeals more to the oil & gas, commercial marine line. The Philippines Sea Expo 2018 appeals more to the luxury boating industry, which is another market that our business is providing solutions for.
Once again, we are representing Quick SpA – an Italian manufacturer of marine lighting and nautical equipment – and exhibiting together with our Philippines partner, Upshaw Industrial Corporation!
We are joined by many shipyards and boat builders, internationally renowned boating brands such as Monte Carlo Yachts (MCY), Azimut, Leopard Catamarans, Princess Yachts that are exhibiting together with their leading dealers such as Simpson Marine, Rayomarine and Europa Yachts.
But the main highlight of this year’s Expo was the unveiling of Mercury’s new engine model together with their major dealer that boasts the largest booth in the entire show – Solanda Enterprises Inc.
We had a lot of quality leads, insightful conversations and meaningful friendships built (over some San Miguel beers 🍺🍻) at the show.
The only problem with the show is – the car parks are gone. What used to be the SMX Convention Centre’s car park became the construction site of a new Ikea that is slated to open in 2020.
Because of this car park removal, the number of visitors were much lesser than the previous years – according to the event organizers and other exhibitors in the area.
Nonetheless, we are still satisfied with the sales leads we’ve got because we garnered a lot of interest with the crowd and with our fellow exhibitors – mainly because we are one of the few dealers that carry quality European marine lighting and nautical equipment.
Here’s a walk-through of some the booths at the Philippines Sea Expo 2018.
Yup, had a great show at the Philippines Sea Expo 2018!
